The SE MUSICLAB in Bern, Switzerland was developed as a reference environment for acoustic research, electroacoustic development, and critical listening.

Conceived and designed by Jürgen Strauss, the facility brought together three purpose-built spaces: THE LAB, THE STUDIO, and THE OPC, dedicated to high-end recording, system development, auralization, electroacoustic research, and immersive 3D audio.

The facility features robotically fabricated acoustic structures developed in collaboration with ETH Zürich (Gramazio Kohler Research). These specialized clay-based surfaces explore the intersection of material science and acoustic diffusion, creating an exceptionally controlled environment for listening, measurement, and system development.
