Passive Monitor

SE MF-4S

Floorstanding Passive Monitoring System

The SE MF-4S adapts the SE MF-4 into a floorstanding format for home, hi-fi, and dedicated listening spaces. It uses the same 12-inch LIT woofer as the SE MF-4 — derived from the SE MF-2.1’s 15-inch LIT technology — optimized here for shorter listening distances and residential listening geometry. Paired with a precisely time-aligned 1-inch compression driver, the SE MF-4S delivers studio-grade coherence, resolution, and dynamic control in a form suited to living rooms and dedicated listening environments. Extending to 28 Hz (-6 dB), it is designed for high-end listening and critical monitoring at 1.5–2.5 meter listening distances.

In the SE MF-4S, the floorstanding architecture is used to place the acoustic center and radiation geometry in a relationship better suited to seated listening in residential spaces. The custom Strauss-developed 12-inch LIT woofer operates with low mechanical loss, while the compression driver and horn system are integrated to maintain stable vertical focus, controlled room interaction, and continuous tonal balance through the listening position. This allows the MF-4S to preserve transient fidelity, spatial stability, and midrange coherence in real living environments.
