Powered by HGBT technology (High Gain Bandwidth Technology) and high-performance bipolar transistors, the SE PA-250 is a precision analog mono amplifier engineered for very low output impedance, high damping factor, and substantial current delivery. With 300 W RMS into 8 Ω, it is intended for systems that require increased headroom, control, and low-frequency authority, including the SE MF-2.1 and other demanding loudspeaker systems.

Where greater headroom than the SE PA-100 is required, a dual-mono pair of SE PA-250 amplifiers provides the same amplifier concept with greater headroom and output capability.

The SE PA-250 extends the Strauss HGBT amplifier concept to mono operation with 300 W RMS into 8 Ω for systems demanding greater headroom and current delivery. Its bipolar output stage maintains very low output impedance (0.005–0.008 Ω) and damping factors of 1600 at low and mid frequencies. Like the PA-100, it uses a regulated power supply for international AC mains, a 10 mm aluminum housing as a fully grounded block, and convection cooling without fans. A dual-mono pair of PA-250 amplifiers provides the ideal drive solution for the SE MF-2.1 and other demanding loudspeaker systems.
